School wide Program Eligibility
Our school currently participates in and receives funds for Federal Title I, Part A, program services under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).
Eligibility for Title I programs and the federal funding allotment is based on the percentage of students in our school from low-income families. The Title I program provides services to eligible students in need of additional instructional assistance, regardless of economic background.
Students from low-income families enrolled in our school are not less than 40% of our population. This qualifies our school our school to become a “School wide Title I Program” which would allow our school to consolidate and use funds, together with other federal, state, and local funds, in order to upgrade the entire educational program of our school.
We encourage your involvement in our school and in your children’s education and invite you to attend our Local School Improvement Council, or other appropriate meetings to hear additional information about requirements of becoming a School wide Title I School. This is another opportunity for you to share your ideas with our school. For more information, please contact your school’s Title I teacher or principal.
